If you are thinking about joining the Luxè Week, but wondering if the tropical heaven Bali is for you, then you've reached the right blog! We'll be exploring why Bali has become the tourism hotspot of the century.

Bali is a small island located on the coast of mainland Indonesia. Bali has always attracted tourists from all over the world and is known for its soul opening beaches, rice fields, and volcanic mountains. But recently this travellers paradise has increased massively in popularity, particularly for luxury holiday experiences as over the past few years more people have begun to discover its natural beauty, wildlife and not to mention its amazing Balinese culture.

Let’s dive into the top 3 things to do in Bali and why it should be the destination for you!

Adventure, Nature, and Wildlife

Bali is home to a diverse set of agriculture from volcanoes to stunning forests and beaches. There is something here for everyone. If you are a thrill-seeker, looking for the best waves to ride then Bali’s beaches are the spot for you. If you are a fan of nature, then locations such as Ubud filled with beautiful rice paddies and forests is the spot for you. If you love wildlife, then you will love Ubud’s Monkey Forest where monkeys live freely with humans.

Ubud Monkey Forest is one of the most popular attractions on the island. Also known as the Sacred Monkey Forest of Padangtegal, the sanctuary is home to families of grey long-tailed macaques. This is a must-see destination for animal and nature lovers alike. Seeing playful monkeys having fun in their natural habitat, feeding on bananas, swinging on trees and chilling on the canopies has a way of bringing out the inner child in you and appreciate the little things in life.

Although the monkeys are really friendly and will try (especially if you offer them food) to climb on you, you are advised to not touch or feed the monkeys as they are still wild animals. This isn’t like a zoo, where the monkeys are trained to behave a certain way. So please stay safe! However, this is what I love the most about the sanctuary. The conservation efforts have only gone as far as to make sure that the monkeys have a safe and natural habitat to explore in, without indoctrinating them and taking away their freedom. The monkey forest has local staff ready to help you when you visit, so please let them guide you and allow them to help you maximise your time in this magical sanctuary!

Party

Bali has a crazy amount of Beach Clubs, Rooftop Bars and Nightclubs offering an event on every night of the week with affordable drinks and world-class musical acts. If you like to party, then Bali will feel like home!

One of our favourite spots to visit in Bali is Finns VIP Beach Club. Euphoria is the only word to describe the feeling Finns Beach Club induces. Imagine relaxing under the sun's grandiloquent rays, the DJ's mixing away, and an incredible vibe sizzling in the air. Can life get much better than this?

Located by the famous surf spot - Berawa beach, Finns Beach Club is the beachfront bar/restaurant to go to. Guests can hydrate with exotic cocktails, local beers, champagne, and wine, or choose to indulge in local and international cuisines all cooked to perfection. There are double and single sunbeds to chillax on in view of the ocean and beach. If you want to cool down, you can jump in the 30m infinity pool with its very own pool bar. There are even underwater speakers so you never miss a beat.

The bamboo building is beautifully assembled and adds an authentic beachy element to this venue. The building is an open plan set up and was designed to ensure no guests miss the sunset. While the alluring views are great during day time hours, the oceanic scene never ends as upon dawn floodlights are awakened for night surf.

Food

Our favourite thing about Bali is the food. As the Irish saying goes - Laughter is brightest in the place where the food is.This statement couldn’t be truer when it comes to Bali. With such a mix influences from Western to local, Bali has such a wide variety of flavours available we can guarantee that throughout your time here you’ll fall in love with a restaurant or cafe. Some of our favourite places include Luigi’s (who have the best pizza in the whole of Bali by far!), Da Maria and Crate cafe.

If you are looking for a social dining experience, then Bali is perfect for you filled with cute little restaurants and cafes. In Canggu (a popular area in Bali), Crate is a fan favourite. Crate grows many of its products in-house. Eggs, apples, dragon fruit and papaya are some of the foods that are grown naturally and organically. Papaya straws are used instead of plastic straws for environmental efficacy. The menu is vibrant and the food is picturesque, so if you are looking for the perfect Instagram shot then Crate is the spot for you!

However, the thing that makes Crate cafe stand out the most is the social aspect. Due to its design as a regular canteen, it is a great place to make friends and meet new people. Populated with travellers from all around the world, it is really easy to get chatting with those sitting around you.

Conclusion

Bali is an incredible island and truly paradise for all types of travellers. If you are looking for a luxury holiday then, The Luxè Week is a fantastic way to experience all the best activities in Bali on offer whilst also meeting awesome new people! So join us and we hope to see you out here soon!
