Please select a week

September 30, 2019 5 min read

Are you ready for the week of your life? The Luxe Week has been designed to be a stress-free experience filled with fun activities and fantastic people.
However, before you can successfully join The Luxe Week there are a few practical and logistic things you will have to prepare ahead of the event so we can ensure that you are safe and fall foul of any local legislation!
Passport and Visa(s)
The easiest way to get to Bali is by air through Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport, also known as Denpasar International Airport (DPS) Bali's only airport.
In order to successfully enter Bali, Indonesia you must have a valid passport which will remain in date for 6 months from date of entry alongside a valid visa permitting you entry into the country.
For a short-term stay, i.e. the seven days on The Luxè Week a Tourist Visa will suffice. The great news is that Bali allows most countries a FREE 30 Day Tourist Visa on Arrival – which means you won’t have to spend anything on getting a visa! To find if you are eligible for a free tourist visa on arrival take a look at the link below:
https://www.indonesia.travel/gb/en/general-information/visa-immigration
If you are not on this list, please note that you will have to secure a valid visa allowing you to enter the country before arrival. The appropriate visa to get will be listed in the link above.
If you wish to stay in Bali after The Luxè Week and for a period longer than 30 days you may be eligible for the PAID Visa on Arrival (VOA), a 30 day visa that can be extended by a further 30 days with the services of a Visa Agent. This can be purchased for $35USD at the airport immigration office before going through customs.
Travel Insurance
We highly recommend purchasing a travel insurance with full medical, baggage loss and cancellation coverage before stepping foot on a plane!
Just like any other holiday, you never know what is round the corner and we would hate for the best of week your life to be ruined by circumstances out of your control such as lost luggage or even a cancelled flight!
Getting comprehensive travel insurance coverage will ensure you peace of mind and eliminate the risk of bad surprises and unexpected expenses in case of emergency. The nature of The Luxè Week contains activities that have a risk of injury such as surfing, yoga or snorkelling so please ensure that any travel insurance policy you take out covers engaging in these activities as well.
Please note that the The Luxè Week, their employees and affiliates will not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury incurred during your trip, so its up to you to make sure you travel safely and are covered in any circumstance!
If an unforeseen circumstance does unfortunately occur, such as a delayed or even cancelled flight please let us know as soon as you can so we can help you make alternative arrangements. Also if you have any existing medical conditions so we can cater for your needs.
Health and Safety
We want you to stay fit and healthy and make sure you don’t catch any nasty surprises while on holiday! Before travelling we highly recommend that you visit your local doctor/clinic and ensure routine immunisations such as Tetanus, Diphtheria and Measles are up to date.
As Bali is a tropical island we also suggest checking whether you need any travel specific vaccinations such as Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Rabies and Typhoid. Please note that the Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is required for travellers arriving from countries with risk of Yellow Fever transmission.
Gastrointestinal infections, affectionately named the 'Bali Belly’, are quite common among tourists. We strongly advise you to use only bottled water or purified water, even when brushing your teeth or washing your face so please avoid ingesting water from the shower, pools or any other water streams. You can prepare your body prior to travelling with probiotics and immune system booster supplements.
The Luxè Week is all about having fun and creating experiences that will last a lifetime. On some of nights you may indulge in drinking alcohol, therefore we strongly advice you to not drive drunk when renting motorcycles and grab a taxi instead. Taxi’s are easy to order either by the roadside or on apps such as Gojek or Grab.
We also recommend for your own safety to always try and stay with your Luxè Week peers and friends on nights out. Make sure to always keep your valuables such as passport or travel money in a safe and lock doors when going out.
Currencies and Expenses
The Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) is the currency officially accepted in Bali. Credit card payments are available in most but not all restaurant and shops. It is common for merchants to charge an additional 3% fee for card transactions.
You can easily exchange foreign currencies for IDRs at foreign exchange counters available at the airport and around Bali. Rates and commissions vary between merchants so make sure that you count your money! Rupiahs can also be directly withdrawn from ATM at a rate established by your bank. Please inform your bank that you will be travelling to Indonesia to avoid your card being blocked.
The main expenses for the week will be lunch, dinner and nights out at venues. The partners we work with will give you the best discounts they have to offer you as Luxè Week members so you'll be saving at all the events you attend. Other expenses during the week will include transportation costs around the island (all activities on the Luxè Week brochure will have complimentary chauffeurs) and any other extras you decide to buy (shopping etc).
Packing your suitcase
Finally, we have got all the boring bits out of the way and we are down to the fun stuff – officially packing for your getaway! Because a lot of the activities during the week will involve water we recommend bringing a 4 or 5 different pieces of swimwear. Also just in case it rains please pack waterproofs as well! We can provide a laundry service for a small fee to do all your washing during the week.
Some of our partner venues including Finns VIP Beach Club and Da Maria are venues with a particular dress code. Therefore, we ask you to pack adequately for these smart casual events.

Please ensure that you bring with you the following items:

  • Swimming Costume
  • Trainers
  • Insect and Bug Repellent
  • Sunglasses
  • Beach Bag
  • Sandals
  • Sarong
  • Slippers or Flip Flops
  • Hiking footwear
  • Smart Casual outfit(s)
