Is it safe to travel to Bali 2020

Bali has taken necessary precautionary measures to protect itself against Covid-19 including restricting travel and a 3 phase easing system.

8 months have passed since the start of the pandemic and many adventure seekers are desperate to escape and travel once again. In this blog, we’ll be addressing our views on whether it is safe to travel to Bali post coronavirus outbreak while also providing information on the safety measures Bali has taken against Covid-19 .

When will Bali open for tourism?

The Indonesian government has announced that Bali will be reopening its borders for tourists on September 11th, 2020. However, upon opening according to Wayan Koster (Bali Governor) the island will take strict health protocols.

Despite having a low number of cases, Bali had responded swiftly to the coronavirus outbreak by restricting all travel and implementing a 3 stage plan on easing restrictions.

Stage 1: July 9th - Reopen Local businesses and tourist spots for Bali locals.

Stage 2: July 31st - Reopen domestic travel into Bali.

Stage 3: September 11th - Reopen Bali to international tourists.

The governor has also noted that International tourists may need a negative Covid-19 test result which has been taken within 2 weeks of arrival.

When will next The Luxe Week run again?

We are eager to open our doors and welcome you guys for the best week of your lives just as much as you are. However, your safety is always our number one priority and we are monitoring the WHO’s advice attentively for the latest information and any Bali travel warnings which may arise.

Furthermore, with countries reinforcing lockdown regulations due to second waves of coronavirus cases increasing, it’s hard to say definitely when Bali will really reopen. But, you can be reassured that we’ll be opening as soon as we can and it’s safe to do so.

That being said, why not follow our Instagram, and you’ll be the first to know of any announcements we make in the future.
